The 16th Wuxi International Renewable Energy Exhibition (CREC2024) was successfully held from December 17-19 in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, against the backdrop of global energy transition. The European Association of Energy Storage Trade (EAEST) participated in a series of forum activities at the exhibition, engaging in in-depth discussions on China-Europe energy storage development and cooperation.
On the afternoon of December 17, EAEST Deputy Secretary-General Rob van der Gulik attended the high-profile “2024 Carbon Neutrality Action Forum of 50”. During the closed-door meeting, Mr. Rob van der Gulik provided detailed insights into the latest developments in European energy storage and joined other distinguished guests in discussing global energy storage market trends and challenges under carbon neutrality goals.
The following morning, Mr. Rob van der Gulik delivered a keynote speech titled “Overview of the European Energy Storage Market” at the CREC2024 opening ceremony. His presentation offered a comprehensive analysis of the current status, challenges, and opportunities in the European energy storage market, emphasizing the importance of strengthened China-Europe cooperation in the energy storage sector.
Concurrently, Ms. Jin Cong, EAEST’s China Representative, presented a keynote speech on “European Energy Storage Market Insights and Opportunity Analysis.” Ms. Jin provided an in-depth analysis of the potential and opportunities in the battery storage market based on European market conditions, sharing EAEST’s insights and experiences in China-Europe energy storage cooperation.
As a crucial hub for China’s energy transition, Wuxi has attracted numerous new energy enterprises. Through this event, EAEST aims to further strengthen its connections and cooperation with Wuxi and Chinese new energy enterprises, jointly promoting China-Europe green and low-carbon energy transition. Additionally, EAEST paid special attention to China-Europe policy differences, insightful presentations by academicians, unique perspectives from entrepreneurs, progress updates on key Chinese investment projects, and the latest research findings from top academic institutions. EAEST believes that such in-depth exchanges and discussions are crucial for deepening China-Europe energy storage cooperation and accelerating global energy transition.
