The “China-Dutch Green Energy: Building a Sustainable Future” forum was successfully held on December 19 at the Kurhaus Conference Center in The Hague, Netherlands, marking the 10th anniversary of the comprehensive and pragmatic partnership between China and the Netherlands. The forum was organized by the The Association of Chinese Investment Enterprises in the Netherlands (ACIEN) and hosted by the European Association of Energy Storage Trade (EAEST), with strong support from the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). Focusing on green energy and sustainable development, the forum was moderated by EAEST expert advisor Gerard Scheper, who also shared his insights during the event.
The forum featured an impressive lineup of speakers who engaged in in-depth discussions on several key topics. Jorg Gigler presented on the role of hydrogen in future sustainability, while Hrvoje Medarac analyzed trends in the Dutch battery storage market. Tuna Sener provided updates on offshore wind energy development in China, and Raoul Haasjes explored innovation and localization strategies in the photovoltaic industry’s energy transition. Additionally, Faron Melisse, a special guest from the the Consulate-General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Shanghai, participated in an engaging panel discussion.
This event highlighted the strong cooperation between China and the Netherlands in the green energy sector and made a significant contribution to advancing global sustainable development initiatives.
