At the EAEST’s headquarters in The Hague, the Netherlands
On October 16, the China(Nanjing)-The Netherlands Energy Storage Business Exchange & 2024 “Innovative Qixia, Leading the Future” Tech Investment Cooperation Forum, hosted by the European Association of Energy Storage Trade (EAEST), were held in The Hague, the Netherlands. The event gathered numerous corporate representatives, experts, scholars, and government officials from the renewable energy and energy storage sectors in both China and Europe to discuss the future prospects of the renewable energy industry and explore cooperation opportunities.
Mr. Jin Yuan, Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in the Netherlands, was invited to attend and highly praised the cooperation achievements between China and Europe in the renewable energy sector. He expressed his continued support for in-depth exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and European enterprises in renewable energy and energy storage. Following his speech, Mr. Liu Haibin, Deputy District Head of the Nanjing Qixia District People’s Government, introduced in detail the investment environment and industrial advantages of Qixia District, showcasing its investment charm and industrial strengths through promotional videos and live presentations.
Mr. Rob van der Gulik, Deputy Secretary-General of EAEST, spoke about the association’s development and the status of the energy storage industry in the Netherlands. He noted that the Netherlands has accumulated rich experience in the research and development, application, and market promotion of energy storage systems and looks forward to conducting more practical cooperation with Chinese enterprises.
During the conference, representatives from both China and Europe jointly signed a strategic cooperation agreement on the renewable energy industry. The signing of this agreement marks a new step forward in Sino-European cooperation in the renewable energy sector, jointly promoting global energy transformation and sustainable development.
In the exchange session, participants engaged in heated discussions on renewable energy and energy storage topics, universally acknowledging the vast potential for Sino-European cooperation and advocating for joint efforts to address challenges and achieve mutual benefits. The conference not only deepened Sino-European friendship but also laid a solid foundation for closer cooperation in the future.
Furthermore, the Qixia government delegation, organized by EAEST, successfully completed a seven-day European trade trip, visiting top energy organizations and benchmark enterprises in Spain and the Netherlands. Spain and the Netherlands are representative frontier countries in European renewable energy development, with globally leading technologies that set examples for global energy transformation. This trip brought numerous cooperation opportunities for Qixia and China’s renewable energy industry, jointly drawing a prosperous blueprint for the renewable energy industry and consolidating the solid foundation for Sino-European cooperation.
