EAEST Member Day 2026: European Energy Storage Projects Launched at SNEC Shanghai Before a Full House of China’s Industry Leaders
Shanghai, 3 June 2026
The European Association of Energy Storage Trade (EAEST) successfully hosted its inaugural EAEST Member Day on the morning of 3 June 2026, held in conjunction with SNEC PV Power Expo in Shanghai, China.

The closed-door, invitation-only session brought together approximately 100 participants — representing European developers, investors, EPC companies, and Chinese energy storage manufacturers, utilities, and strategic partners — for a dedicated Europe–China energy storage exchange. The session was held to a full house, reflecting the strong and growing appetite from both the European and Chinese energy sectors for structured, long-term industrial collaboration.
European Project Presentations
The centrepiece of the EAEST Member Day was a series of live project presentations, showcasing investment-ready energy storage projects from across Europe. Three speakers took to the stage to present their projects directly to an audience of Chinese industry leaders and decision-makers:
— Aron Fredriksson
— Johnny Browaeys
— Daniel Li

Projects presented at the event span multiple European markets, including Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Croatia, Germany, France, and Spain.
Networking Break: Spontaneous Energy, Real Connections
Beyond the formal presentations, one of the most notable moments of the morning came during the mid-session networking break. The room came alive as attendees — project owners, investors, manufacturers, and developers from both Europe and China — gathered in animated conversation, exchanging contacts and exploring opportunities with genuine urgency. Follow-up meetings were arranged on the spot, and the spontaneous intensity of the exchanges underscored the real demand for direct, structured Europe–China engagement that the EAEST Member Day was designed to facilitate.

Programme Highlights
The session also provided a structured environment for B2B matchmaking, executive networking, and strategic cooperation discussions. The closed-door format ensured a focused, high-quality dialogue between participants, enabling meaningful direct engagement between European project developers and Chinese manufacturers, investors, and system integrators.
