EAEST and Solarplaza Sign Partnership to Strengthen China–Europe Clean Energy Collaboration
The European Association of Energy Storage Trade (EAEST) and Solarplaza have officially formalised a strategic partnership, marking a new milestone in connecting the European energy sector with China’s rapidly evolving clean-energy ecosystem. The signing ceremony took place during the Energy Storage NL conference in Amsterdam, in the presence of senior representatives from both organisations.

About the Partnership
This partnership reflects a shared commitment to fostering substantive, long-term engagement between European energy stakeholders and China’s global clean-energy supply chain. Going beyond transactional exchange, the collaboration is designed to create durable strategic value for both sides.
EAEST’s role within this collaboration is to ensure that connections between European project developers and Chinese counterparts evolve into sustained partnerships — ones that generate long-term mutual leverage and meaningful influence in the development of next-generation energy projects across Europe.

Strategic Context
China’s latest Five-Year Plan signals a continued acceleration of its clean-energy ecosystem into global markets. For European companies, this creates a clear window of opportunity — to engage early, build trusted relationships, and develop a deeper understanding of the structures shaping future international energy cooperation.
A key message underscored during the signing ceremony is that companies which approach China solely as transactional buyers will largely compete on price. By contrast, companies that invest in long-term strategic partnerships are better positioned to gain influence and access in the global energy transition.
Solarplaza × EAEST China Tours
As a central initiative within this collaboration, EAEST and Solarplaza will continue organising the Solarplaza × EAEST China Tours, building on the success of the inaugural edition held last year. These tours provide European energy leaders with first-hand access to China’s energy ecosystem through strategic dialogues, on-site visits, and direct engagement with key industry players.
The tours are designed to bridge the gap between European decision-makers and the realities of China’s energy landscape — enabling more informed, strategically grounded partnerships.
“The energy transition is a global endeavour, and strong partnerships will shape its success. We are proud to deepen our collaboration with Solarplaza and to help European energy leaders build the trusted relationships needed to navigate the global clean-energy landscape.”
