EAEST Leads European Delegation on Exclusive Factory and Facility Visits to China’s Leading New Energy and Energy Storage Manufacturers

The Hague, June 2026

From 1 to 4 June 2026, the European Association of Energy Storage Trade (EAEST) organised and led an exclusive delegation programme, bringing invited European companies on a series of in-depth visits to prominent Chinese manufacturers and production facilities in the new energy and energy storage sectors.

The delegation visited companies across two cities — Tongling, Anhui Province and Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province — including CEEG and a number of other leading enterprises active across battery storage, system integration, and the broader renewable energy supply chain.

Engagement Beyond the Boardroom

Designed to facilitate direct, substantive engagement between European buyers and Chinese manufacturers, the delegation visits provided European participants with first-hand access to Chinese manufacturing operations, product lines, and technical capabilities. The programme included guided tours of production facilities, structured meetings with senior management and technical teams, and open dialogue on supply chain capacity, product specifications, and procurement requirements.

The visits facilitated meaningful bilateral exchange: European developers, investors, and industry professionals were able to assess potential supply chain partners directly, while Chinese manufacturers gained insight into European market requirements, regulatory frameworks, and long-term procurement needs.

A Foundation for Long-Term Partnership

By the conclusion of the visits, contacts had been exchanged across delegations, procurement discussions had been initiated, and a number of participants had identified clear pathways for follow-up collaboration. The quality of engagement on both sides reflected a shared commitment to building substantive, long-term industrial relationships — rather than transactional, one-off interactions.

EAEST remains committed to facilitating this kind of structured, high-value exchange between European and Chinese industry stakeholders. The China delegation programme is one of a growing number of EAEST initiatives designed to support European companies in building a genuine, informed presence in the Chinese energy storage supply chain — and to support Chinese manufacturers in accessing serious, investment-ready European partners and projects.
